Melanie Bitely, MCD, CCC-SLP (she/her)

Compassion Speech-Language Pathology was founded and is run by Melanie Bitely, an SLP who is passionate about fostering children's speech and language development in a kind and individualized way.

Melanie received her Master of Communication Disorders from Auburn University in 2019 and her Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA in 2020. She has worked in schools and private practices throughout her career and believes in the power of small-scale, client-centered care. In January of 2024, Melanie completed the Meaningful Speech Course to learn how to better assist Gestalt Language Processors (GLPs) using the Natural Language Acquisition Framework. She is passionate about removing ableism from her practice and providing care in a neurodiversity-affirming way.

Born and raised in Florida, Melanie and her family recently moved to Western Massachusetts and she is looking forward to connecting with others in the community. In her free time, Melanie enjoys roller skating, lounging in a hammock, and snuggling with her two cats.
